Chiseled landscape
This is an old Titan brand chisel, much loved and much used. Who knows how many pieces of furniture it’s been used to craft, or hinge mortises its cut out for doors to hang.
I liked all the textures and patina that had developed over years of use. From the nicks in the blade, splashes of paint and chips of wood missing from the handle, to the striations on the bevel of the blade.
All too much for one photo, so I created three images in this set.
Chiseled landscape
Chiseled throat
Chiseled edge
I hope you enjoy them.
All images were shot on a base of figured Australian redgum.
