I started with photography in 2006 when I bought a Fujifilm FinePix F30. Fascinated by the art of abstraction and the ability to emphasise lines, patterns and symmetry, I took pictures regularly and constantly tried to improve the quality of my images.
Although this first compact camera offered impressively good image quality, I soon wanted to overcome its technical limitations and therefore invested in a used D-SLR kit including a Nikon D50 and a Nikon 18-200mm lens.
Since about 2009 I am very interested in black & white photography, though I do not actually shoot in monochrome but digitally convert my colour images afterwards to b&w in order to ho have better control over the conversion process.
I am not dedicated to a certain photographic subject, my images vary in terms of content. However, no matter what aspect of real life I capture, there is certainly something to improve in each corresponding photograph. Therefore I am always glad to receive comments on my pictures which also help me to understand how others perceive my images.
