Decided to venture to this place once again, only to find this time it was a ‘little’ more difficult to get inside. But after learning the fact that this place along with it’s history of trams and buses, the whole building will be demolished, I had to see it again before it goes away.

This was one of many shots of amazing artwork that will one day unfortunately disappear and never to be seen again.

Shot Details

  1. Canon EOS 50D
  2. Canon EF-S 17-55mm f2.8 @ 55mm f8
  3. Tripod

HDR Technique

  1. 3 bracketted exposures (-1, 0, +1)
  2. RAW images exported to .TIFF files
  3. Tonemapped in Photomatix Pro 4.0.2
  4. Touched up slightly within Lightroom 3

Why not check out my other work…

About Kevin Thai

So there I was sipping back a nice warm cup of coffee, a flat white with one sugar is generally my weapon of choice, actually did I have sugar in my coffee that day? …Anyway doesn’t matter, the point is all I was doing really was just enjoying my coffee so much so that I couldn’t figure out how to really construct my ‘About Me’ page.

the whole building was originally heritage protected unfortunately the graffitti art killed it’s protection even the trams were originally in mint condition, it’s called demolision by neglect

  • I do agree with you there Phil to a certain point, I had no idea the place was heritage protected and have heard many stories of the trams and buses being restored to their prime condition when they were first moved there. I am not all for the disrespect and neglect that the graffiti art has left on the premises, but at the end of the day are there boundaries to where you can find something that can be interpreted as art?

On a side note – thanks for the feature! :)
