Mask of Destiny- 'Inbetween'

Mask of Destiny- 'Inbetween'

Mask of Destiny- 'Inbetween' belongs to the following groups:

All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical, Art Inspired by Dreams, Behind the Mask, End Times, Light In The Darkness, The Word Tree and Who are YOU to Judge?

Man has failed to come to grips with his powers; hiding behind the mask of ‘Destiny’...fact being that he is, indeed, the master and architect of his own destinations. It is he alone whom shoulders the blame for the destruction and division of himself from his brothers; and it is he, alone, whom can ultimately repair that which is on the verge of ruin… Blaming Deity for our shortcomings is merely justification of our failures…
In this plane exists the need for balance; balance within one’s self, ones community, and ultimately, ones world. Heaven, or Hell- each exist here; each are the product of our actions toward one another. The flesh is imperfect; for it is given to the urges of the animal from which it comes. But, man, in both knowing and accepting this truth, can maintain the balance required to create an ‘Eden’ here: was that not, afterall, the original intention of the Creator?

Very interesting closing line, especially since you mentioned those deities. I like the flesh from animal part best.

You have named the great lie that so many are entrapped by… and that is “destiny controls us”........ your writing… here… reminds me of Paulo Coehlo….... have you read “The Alchemist?” .... you should…...... wonderful words my friend…. we have the ability to make our own destiny…...... it is finding the courage and faith to do so that is the difficult part…... it all comes down in believing our own truths….............peace and light…...b

This is a beautifully written and thought provoking piece. I do believe in destiny but that each of us holds the key to our own destiny. When there is a fork in the road .. we make the choice as to which road to take.

Beautifully written. You are correct we are the architects of our own destiny and this is heaven or hell, depending on how we each see it.

    I thank you, Laureen.
