Hello, my name is Kris and I have been scribbling for as long as I can remember.
I completed a Ba in Fine Art some years ago, but was left feeling as though it wasn’t what I wanted. I paint with water colours and oils, draw with and on anything not bolted down and have dabbled in photography. I taught myself leadlighting and spinning. I also write, tattoo, carve wood and stone and etch. I work in a number of different styles, although at the moment am going through a bit of a portrait stage, which I hope I won’t bore you with for much longer.
I had a childhood that was rich with world mythology and fantasy, thanks to a creative, expressive and free thinking Aunt. Most of my images have evolved from what has mashed together to create a new mythology – my own personal mix of fai folk, anthromorphic humans and the weird and wonderful beastiary, usually set in some sort of Australian background.
