My Butterflies
This writing is a memorial to millions perished in the Auschwitz Concentration Camp. Butterflies are being created as a way to help remember the children who perished in the Holocaust during World War II

Their eyes would never again be graced with vision of a beautiful dawn
No matter what wishes were made
Only sadness came of it
Butterflies love will extended beyond times
Lived endless nights and days in a land where no one’s hand may have reached
They were hunted and slowly torn apart
The world kept spinning out of time
Hear them cried and took the pain and horror away
Terror through their hearts beneath their yellow stars
Gathered them through the night to the oven filled with breathless gas
Butterflies wings raised to the skies

Ming what a beautiful tribute and accolade for those children and not forgetting the adults who didn’t have a choice and life was taken so brutally. My daughters husbands family experienced this terrible attrocity and lost family members. I stand up and applaud you my friend for “My Butterflies” Well done and Thank You! – David
Ming Myaskovsky replied
I thank you so much David, this is my personal favorite and very important to me!!
I am honored!!! :)))

This is a beautiful tribute to those lives lost at the holocoust, but especially to the children, who are innocent of all of attrocities of wars caused by the very adults in the governments who are suppossed to protect their people and respect the rights of others even if they are not of their nationality, ethnic group or have their own religious ideas. To use butterflies as a symbol was a beautiful inspiration because personally I love them, they are beautiful, harmless and free.
Ming Myaskovsky replied
I wrote this to sooth my soul and my sadness.
I had no ideas how others would response to this.
To my surprised, WOW~ I am touched, thank you so much, I am honored that you take time to read this!!! :))))
happyfeet5
You say you wrote this to sooth your soul, but in doing so you also soothed the soul of many others, because many people have the holocoust in their memories, even if they were not involved in it personally or had not lost relatives to it. History and the stories of the horrors is what mostly effected all of us and have left us feeling as you do. So when writing this poem you triggered a piece of pain in the souls fo everyone who know the story of the holocoust. So your Butterflies, innocent enough are flying free to space and into the hearts of all of us. All of your butterflies are welcomed in my heart.

Also, may the butterflies be a reminder that this should never happen again in the future.
Butterflies flying free in space
children running free on earth
may butterflies and children become as one
a time to play, to laugh and rejoice.
Let the butterlies fly free
let the children be
Let the world catch the spirit in them
and with their laughter and joy the world will be at peace.
Yes let the children be protected
from evil that drive some men
so butterflies will stay happyly on earth
to the end of time. Amen

Oh, I hope you don’t mind this poem I wrote. But you and your butterflies inspired me to write it. I’m sorry if you don’t like it. Please tell me so. It’s just that I got carried away with my emotions on this topic and wanted to give it a tribute to it on my behalf with a poem.
Ming Myaskovsky replied
Please do, I love your poem very much, it’s to my surprise, and it touched my heart to know that I could share this with you! :)
Respectfully yours,
Ming

This is a very poignant and moving piece Ming. A lost generation of beautiful children. We should never, ever forget what happened and make sure it never happens again. :))
