Ming, you certainly have absorbed the way that paint can be used like fabric. This painting has the effect of a woman both watching a gem and watching a gem necklace. The simplicity of the woman and the patterns of the gecko draw you into the woman, as if she were dreaming in a world of black and white.
It’s hard to evoke this much emotion and response with a few lines and blocks of color, yet you have mastered this technique which only looks simple.
