Lightwave Waka at the Cargo Shed by

This is my new display area, look forward to seeing you at the Cargo Shed, 5 Dive Crescent, Tauranga, Saturday, Sunday and all Cruise ship days through the season.
For more information contact Ken at Lightwave, kenslightwave@me.com. 021 995 092

Main display area is 9×4m with 3m high walls.

Center display is a stylized Waka (canoe) with a polynesian style sail, this has a design on thats not for sale called Dying Sun, Last Light for Dylan

This Waka is my “Waka huia box” (treasure box) it allows me to display A3, a4, A1 pano prints, cards and CD calendars

A raised platform creates a “Dock of the Bay” feel and controls the flow of traffic, allowing the customer to interact with the site. Rough sawn timber creates a walkway (wheel chair spec).

Custom wood and copper details to the waka, carved pumice stone with koru patterns for waves which I have carved over the winter while the shed was quiet.

My casting couch covered in fake zebra skin fur ;-)

back wall display has 32’ LCD TV playing slide show of my work.

The display took 3 weeks to build with help from Ashley Grant and Steve Allan, thanks for the support guys, we had a lot of fun doing this work.

In my previous life I have designed many exhibitions, i thought that it was time to make and exhibition of my self ;-)

About Ken Wright

Hi, Kia Ora from New Zealand, i have recently moved to Papamoa in the Bay of Plenty. I have spent the last thirty years taking photos, I love capturing images, especially ones that only I saw, only I was silly enough to get up at that time to catch the sunrise, photography is a wonderful thing, capture an image and you preserve the moment forever, miss it, and its lost forever.

Hope that you enjoy these images.
