Shot at Point Hallswell Light on Wellington Harbour.

This is why New Zealand called Aotearoa (land of the long white cloud) there it is, laying low across the tops of the hills and down towards the Hutt Valley.

What would have made this shot perfect for me would have been a splash in the foreground, I’ll just have to settle for a great sky :-)

Shot on a Nikon D700 with 17-35mm Nikkor Lens, ND 8 soft Grad, tripod. Raw files with Active D-Lighting on High. Processed in Photomatix HDR and CS3

Hi, Kia Ora from New Zealand, i have recently moved to Papamoa in the Bay of Plenty. I have spent the last thirty years taking photos, I love capturing images, especially ones that only I saw, only I was silly enough to get up at that time to catch the sunrise, photography is a wonderful thing, capture an image and you preserve the moment forever, miss it, and its lost forever.

Hope that you enjoy these images.
