Taken just in front of Moturiki Island (Leisure island) view towards Motuotau Island (Rabbit island) Mount Maunganui Beach, sunrise over Papamoa.

I love the reflected sky colors in the sand, looks like spilled petrol on water.

Shot on a Nikon D700 with nikkor 17-35mm lens.
Cokin Z-Pro, warming filter, ND8 and ND2, tripod.

Hi, Kia Ora from New Zealand, i have recently moved to Papamoa in the Bay of Plenty. I have spent the last thirty years taking photos, I love capturing images, especially ones that only I saw, only I was silly enough to get up at that time to catch the sunrise, photography is a wonderful thing, capture an image and you preserve the moment forever, miss it, and its lost forever.

Hope that you enjoy these images.
