I know that this is not the normal sort of image that i post but i just like the simplicity of this single grass star, its golden colour against the dark sand and the silver light on the shallow water, it was drizzling with rain at the time.
Taken on Mount Maunganui beach, view towards Motuotau Island.
Shot on a Nikon D700 with nikkor 17-35mm lens with circular polarizer.

Hi, Kia Ora from New Zealand, i have recently moved to Papamoa in the Bay of Plenty. I have spent the last thirty years taking photos, I love capturing images, especially ones that only I saw, only I was silly enough to get up at that time to catch the sunrise, photography is a wonderful thing, capture an image and you preserve the moment forever, miss it, and its lost forever.
Hope that you enjoy these images.

Really like this one Ken, a more simplistic composition and not quite as contrasty as some of your others – quite cool mate.
Simple and elegant, Ken; the star contrasts beautifully with the subdued background.
Perfect

Beautiful, and I do like this style. It might look or seem simple to you, but not to me! (Your talent is showing.)
