Palliser Dawn Rocks by

Taken at Cape Palliser Lighthouse at 6.33am, only managed to get three frames off before the angle of the sunrise lost its colour on the cloud to the right, the light that followed was soft orange and peach as you will see in the next shots latter to day.

Shot on a Nikon D700 with 17-35mm Nikkor Lens, Cokin ND8 grad, tripod and sand bags. Active D-Lighting on Norm, ISO 100

About Ken Wright

Hi, Kia Ora from New Zealand, i have recently moved to Papamoa in the Bay of Plenty. I have spent the last thirty years taking photos, I love capturing images, especially ones that only I saw, only I was silly enough to get up at that time to catch the sunrise, photography is a wonderful thing, capture an image and you preserve the moment forever, miss it, and its lost forever.

Hope that you enjoy these images.

Love the blue in these rocks . . . so complimentary to the orange/pink in the clouds. You have quite the eye!
