Washed up Mere
is a digital enhanced work on a natural stone i found at the mouth of Lake Onoke and the incoming tide from Palliser Bay, view towards Lake Ferry township.
This is the signature canvas to a limited edition series of Large canvases, exclusive to a country estate in Martinborough, Wairarapa, New Zealand (or me!)
This is the Matakitakiakupe (Cape Palliser) Collection
Kupe himself named Matakitaki, which means ‘to look upon with admiration’ because of its beautiful view. When he and his wife ascended a nearby hill, helooked across the blue waters of Cook Strait and sawthe snow-capped Tapuaenuku, the highest peak in theinland Kaikoura Range.
Shot on a Nikon D700 with 17-35mm Nikkor Lens, Cokin ND8 grad, tripod and sand bags. Active D-Lighting on Norm, ISO 100
