Ngawi copper dawn drift by

A limited edition series of Large canvases, exclusive to a country estate in Martinborough, Wairarapa, New Zealand (or me!)

This is one of the Matakitakiakupe (Cape Palliser) Collection

Taken at Ngawi, early start, 3.30am, nearly two hours to get to Ngawi (nar-wee) a commercial fishing settlement located in the Wairarapa, lower North Island. Ngawi

This is a 30 second exposure, the moon shone through the racing clouds and lit everything up and i used my torch to light up the seaweed on the foreground rock, stunning colours, this was 6.10am.

Shot on a nikon D700, 17-35mm nikkor Lens, ND8 soft grad Cokin filter, tripod. 100 ISO

About Ken Wright

Hi, Kia Ora from New Zealand, i have recently moved to Papamoa in the Bay of Plenty. I have spent the last thirty years taking photos, I love capturing images, especially ones that only I saw, only I was silly enough to get up at that time to catch the sunrise, photography is a wonderful thing, capture an image and you preserve the moment forever, miss it, and its lost forever.

Hope that you enjoy these images.

Altogether a stunning series, Ken. This one is particularly special, with the village lights and torch-lit foreground
