Shot at Point Hallswell Light on Wellington Harbour, nearly passed this one up till i saw the pink thrown by sunrise, sunrise should be in the middle of the picture just above the lowest white cloud.
This is why New Zealand called Aotearoa (land of the long white cloud) there it is, laying low across the tops of the hills and down towards the Hutt Valley.
What would have made this shot perfect for me would have been a splash in the foreground, I’ll just have to settle for a great sky :-)
Shot on a Nikon D700 with 17-35mm Nikkor Lens, ND 8 soft Grad, tripod. Raw files with Active D-Lighting on High.
Looks like you may have got a little on the wet side taking this shot! Excellent Ken, love the water motion and the cool colours!!
