Titahi Storm Pink
Last light at Titahi Bay, New Zealand, we’d had a week of dramatic weather, rain, hail, high winds, days of it,then on friday it broke, got away from the office early and the sky put on a show, only eight frames for the sun to show through the gap, then it was gone, what followed was the most wonderful soft pink hues in the sky, the only thing missing from this shot was some good water movement.
The sea was so calm that only the sixth and seventh wave had dynamics, but not enough to get the two together, the strange thing was that when the sun went down the sea got calmer.
Shot on a Nikon D700 with 17-35mm lens, with Cokin ND8 grad filter.
