Introducing leggings. You’ll never run out of inspiration.

A new stallion has arrived at the herd of wild horses I watch and photograph. He put on a great show the other day as he raced in circles around the herd. He is very wild and of course magnificent – Great Basin Desert, Utah, USA.

Where did he come from Kent? He is gorgeous!

  • Hi Darcy! I don’t know. There is another herd 20 miles to the north but they are on the opposite side of a military base and many fences. There are other herds to the southwest several hundred miles away.

Wow, I wonder if the BLM dropped him off for color to the herd!

  • That would be nice of them so I doubt it…lol. There are no other horses his color in this herd. Several months ago a white stallion showed up and then left again. I would not be surprised if wild horses (especially stallions without mares) travel great distances at times looking for mares to start a harem.

You have truly captured the magnificent pure spirit of the wild horse – an amazing thing! He is a stunner in is natural state…. just a splendid image, and would be a wonderful message about the need to keep spaces available for these beautiful, free animals!! Gorgeous! ~ Kim
