Shot at low tide at the seal colony, North Bay Kaikoura, right on the edge, late afternoon light gives a soft honey colour to the slippery rocks, shot on the rise of the tide.
Shot on a Nikon D700 with 17-35mm lens, with Cokin ND8 grad filter. photomatrix and photoshop.
beautiful Ken. If I were to get a nikon D700 which I would reeeeeeeeaallly like to do, can you recommend lenses, I would love the portrait lens I think 85mm f1.4 or 1.8, a wide angle for the beach at dawn and a telephoto for birds!
thats about right, I have as standard a 24-70 2.8-4 the old style about NZ1k
I have a 70-200 sigma 2.8 all glass weighs a ton great for portraits at any length, needs mono pod, the D700 is heavy, ad this lens and its not practical to hand hold
