Thanks, Sheila. Unfortunately, in the next frame of the sequence, the hawk got the little swallow. It must have been a quick nab, because one second the swallow was on the hawk’s tail, the next second it was speared by the talons.

Yes, afraid so. The swallow was feeding her fledglings, chased the hawk as if to chase it away, then appeared to have gotten snagged when she got to close.
Wonderful capture, love the action. The Harrier almost looks scared.
