I dreamed I could be a man
with eyes sincerely woman blind,
love them all within one heart
hold them all without a spite
give them all a ring to hold
and make them maidens of the platinum light;
they came to me on a cloud of dust
some were blond
and some were red
and some were dark as polished sin;
they came with lips that melted ice
they spilled their breasts
they stole my brain
they chewed my words into garbled pleas,
I couldn’t laugh and I couldn’t cry
but I begged for more on bended knees;
they sang and danced in the platinum sun
they circled around the halo’s veil,
some turned blond
and some turned red
and some turned white as a goddess’ wand.
