Wow Ken ~ What an awesome shot !!! Really like the lines on his wing span a giant “M”
what is that about a 15” trout ?
Ken Haley replied
The stream is periodically stocked with large trout for local fishermen. Some do their fishing from the air. Don’t know if it’s legal, but it was effective.

Great catch for you and the osprey, Ken I don’t think that trout is feeling any pain. I always wonder way they are so motionless after being caught.

That fish is probably still alive and thinking Oh my God! What do I do now? This is a fabulous shot Ken!
Ken Haley replied
Thank you, Sharon. It was no doubt a shock to the poor fish to be lifted out of his world by a higher power. BTW, I got a lot of good ideas from your RB site, and joined many of the groups you have listed. Thank you!

Aloha Ken, what good ideas did you get from my portfolio?
Ken Haley replied
First, your use of light and shadow, land and sea. Second, taking a natural theme and linking it to a human trait, or a mythical one. Third, keeping your art subjects close to home. I often think I need to go on a photo safari in order to find great subjects to photograph, but all my photos are taken within a couple of miles of my home, and I haven’t run out of subjects yet. Oh, and fourth…wearing a garland of flowers in my hair while I’m out in nature so as to attract my beautiful subjects to come closer.

just amazing…the image…the bird…the fish’ poor expression…........LOVE OSPREY!
Ken Haley replied
Gracias, querida! It took a herculean effort for the osprey to get airborne with the fish, which was a hatchery trout that the fish and game department planted in that stream. Lots of fishermen lining the banks of the stream were oohing and ahhing the osprey’s technique.

——How do you do it! Another fantastic moment!Ken Haley replied
Another big photo op at Alton Baker. Have you been going out shooting? We’re settled in our new place, but our house sale fell through and now we’re in trouble. Nothing but excitement this summer!
