    I know, I seldom bother with coots. But he was kind of close, and the action was interesting, so I took a couple of shots. I didn’t realize how big his webbed feet are.

    Great reaction, better than wow! When he says, “So that’s how they do it,” is he referring to the animal or the photographer? Timing and patience are big keys to capturing animals doing the funniest things, but I don’t usually think about the timing part of the shot until after I work it up and think, “How DID I do that?” Thank you for your wonderful comments!
