Thank you, Sandy. He was watching me shooting the red-breasted sapsucker. When you look at the sapsucker photo, you can see the fence in the background. The squirrel was a bit too far to one side to include in the shot, but I would have loved to have gotten both of them in the shot. I only got a couple of clicks at the squirrel before he scampered off, and right after that, the sapsucker flew to another tree and I couldn’t find him again. But they both posed for the camera, no doubt about it.

You are always welcome! Yes, it would have been cool to have captured both the squirrel and Red-Breasted Sapsucker in the same frame, for sure! I have a red-Breasted Sapsucker that hangs out tapping holes in my Lilac tree. It is so tame that it allows me within inches of it! :)

These Oregon squirrels are real characters. They stand there and make you laugh so hard you can hardly keep the camera straight.
