The End

of the time of the jealous god
the one who kept the garden to himself
who could not bear the happiness of innocence

who told us with a single word
of shame, allegory to allegiance of sacrifice lambs
who could not bare the lightness of beauty.

The Mother has reclaimed the Holiness of Life
She who is in the midst of the garden
of whom we are Her beautiful leaves of rooted Presence

the Mothers of the Mother told us
Rabia, Lao Tzu, Y’shua bar Miriyam, Buddha, Teresa de Avilla…
They all have told us “You are the Garden”.

Now, finally,
we listen and oh how we have missed The Mother
the one who loves us.

Hi, Ken, it’s been a while since I haven’t been around written work, too much absorbed in my graphic production, but this piece is marvellous and moving and just perfect to celebrate the new year. So happy new year to you!

  • Hi Maraia – So glad to hear from you. I too have not been around the bubble much. I’m beginning the wonder of writing all over again. Best of the new year for you.

We better do some weeding I guess
The god and Satan Jekyll and hyde
Two sides of the same coin
Pop one In to the slot to get back in the garden I guess
    You got me thinkIng thanks

  • “Pop one In to the slot to get back in the garden I guess” – that’s what Joseph Campbell wrote about the garden – that understanding the unity of the duality, allows you to walk right past the guarded gate into your own eden. Thanks so much for reading, glad it spoke to you.
