A Little Bit About Me: Someone Affectionately Known as KP

I am a lawyer by training and trade though I grew up with a somewhat hidden and untapped itch to be creative and artsy. My drawings haven’t progressed much beyond kindergarten/finger painting level, which has always bothered me because my father and uncles are designers. I have though, demonstrated <i>some</i> glimpses of my creativity in the past, for example, some funny spoof videos of friends (http://youtube.com/watch?v=WYTaqs7nwMQ).

My internal struggle is to free myself from living life within the boundaries of reason. Or at least, to find a balance between the instinctive and the logical.

So far, I have approached my photography in the same way as I have to in most areas of my life (eg. in my line of work), which I think is necessary as an inexperienced photographer. Although I have received mostly positive feedback on my work so far, comments such as, and the realisation that I mostly produce, ‘postcard’ images has inspired me to pursue this interest further and go beyond good postcard photos. I want to share others’ belief that I have a good ‘eye’.
