At lest 48 people have lost their life today and these counts will go up overnight and tomorrow. And once again tomorrow we are faced with another day of severe weather to the east of the outbreak today as the storm moves east and then off the east coast of the United States. The threat of severe weather and tornados for overnight is now to the east of the Mississippi River. Stay tuned to radio and TV for the latest on this high risk of severe weather and tornados.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers we are ok (my family) but the one thing that we as storm chasers and forecasters fear is an outbreak this time of year when people are not thinking about severe weather and tornados and then get hit without taking the action they need to save there live. This outbreak is on-going as new tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings are being issued.

Thanks Brian I am watching this one at home east for me is not good for the chase trees as soon as I get east of Dallas so I am here watching the weather channel and seeing if I still have some of my skills as a forecaster :-)

Hope that all is safe and well with you and your family. I hate to hear of this so early in the year that means a long tornado season. We are still dealing with the cold and the snow up here in SD but I know our time is coming with the tornados also.

    Take care and be cautious.

God bless all. I know this is a naïve question but do the storms go anywhere near Colorado Springs? My twin brother lives there…
