Another in the series done for a pdf role playing game module. Ink and charcoal on bristol paper, about 10 × 15. And yes, those repeated movie posters are done by hand!

I’ve studied and done art my whole life, starting with tracing from comics at the age of 8 or so, progressing through working in comics and games, private commissions and having jobs in online games, educational media, military training and much more. Commissions accepted. See for more work.

My favorite of the homepage today! Love the style and inkwork. Knowing how easy it would have been to copy and paste the movie posters on photoshop, those posters are well done! Congrats on making the home page!

Yeah, thanks Mimi (and Matt and Jerry!), I was surprised, to say the least! Jerry, I did cheat a tiny bit. I made a photocopy to size of the actual poster, then applied carbon dust (actually, rubbed a pencil) on the back, using it a sort of tracing paper, so the elements would all be proportionally correct…but then of course, I had to ink/paint them!

Brilliant work Ken, love the moodiness and the shadow and line work gives it a film norish type atmosphere. And congrats on the homepage feature.

  • thanks very much, John!
