Walla Mulla Waterhole - Pilbarra, Western Australia by

This waterhole, in a near-dry creek bed, is found at a place known locally as Walla Mulla – or so I believe. It is a beautiful, quiet place in the wildnerness but not too far off the beaten track and not far from Newman in the Pilbarra region of Western Australia. It is very difficult to get a good photo given the patches of bright sunlight and deeply contrasting shadowed areas.

It may be a bit wetter there now I think Ken. A great image.

  • Thanks, Karen.
I’ve no doubt you are right. Probably inaccessible until the dry sets in again.
Mind you, I wouldn’t at all mind seeing it right now – but can’t.
