Fantastic capture!! Great lighting!!
Thanks very much Janine
This is amazing, Ken! Beautiful capture and such an unusual state to see this butterfly in.
Thanks heaps Krys. It was a real pain getting the butterfly to show through. I tried just about every light and angle mentionable.
This is super. Do you remember where you saw it so you can monitor and hopefully capture the birth?j
I was hoping for the same jesika. Unfortunately I was working at the time it emerged but I must of just missed it because it was sitting on a rose bush right next to the chrysalis
How beautiful, very interesting capture!
Thanks so very much Ellen
Thanks for dropping by Rosina and leaving such a lovely comment
Ken, I know EXACTLY what you mean. Last summer I had masses of pupae to monitor. As soon as I saw the “Twitch” I’d drop everything & just pupa watch. Most of the little sods crawled out if the phone rang or someone came to the door. But I have got a few emerging shots. It was so exciting and I hope to do better this year.j
Same for me Jesika. Better luck next year
Amazing photo. The lighting is great. It would be lovely to see the butterfly emerging.
Yes I must admit it was a small disappointment when I missed it but I suppose if it were always easy there would be no real fun. Thanks heaps jacqi
it GLOWS – what wonderful light and comp – beautiful
Thanks so much Pat. This one was certainly a challenge for me
