Ken Boxsell replied
Thank you so much Krys. They all come from my garden and yard. They come and go but I am always on the lookout for them
Marion Cullen
Great work Ken, how did you get him to pose so well? Glad to see someone else has this fascination with small things that creep and crawl.
Ken Boxsell replied
Thank you for such a lovely comment Lumineux. The little buggers never want to pose, so I guess its just a matter of timing (long long timing)lol. This little guy is actually trying to launch himself at my hand.
jesika

Great shot, how did you get it to pose like that? How big is that beastie Ken and if it got to your hand would it bite?
Ken Boxsell replied
Thanks heaps Jacqi. It was actually trying to get to my hand or camera…......its about 1/8 of inch or4mm….....bite – probably but I doubt if it would do too much damage

I think the fact you got Diaea evanida to stand on top of Saruman’s magical sceptre is pretty cool
Ken Boxsell replied
Haha. Thanks John. I told him that if he didnt get up there I would shove…...(no better not go there) lol
Kathleen Stephens
Ken, excellent work. Sharp. Cute. Wierd. I would love to see your garden!
Ken Boxsell replied
Thank you so much Lexsis but theres not really that much to see…just a few fruit trees and a small vege patch, a few pot plants etc. I think that the best time for locating their hideout is at night with a good flashlight

Where in the world do you find all these weird spiders? I am glad that you find them and not me.
You have done a great job on photographing this ugly guy, I love how it looks like you picked him up with a stick to get you sot of him.

Thank you so much SueAnne, he was actually sitting quietly on the branch before I disturbed him but as I neared for the shot he leaped for the camera. He had great timing but I still moved rather quickly :-)lol
