The solid color background, which appears to be your style, complements both the yellow in the flower and the orange in the Monarch. What gives him real character is the curve of his antenae. It is a great capture, Ken. One well worth including in your portfolio.

Thanks lexsis. It was a long time ago but if I remember rightly the BG is actually an A4 folder held behind. Unfortunately the BG was inundated with horrible clutter.

All of my bee and butterfly BGs are the same way. I have been fortunate to have them nicely blurred.

Thanks Lexsis. I did manage to get a few with the BG roses, and the DOF was good, but the colours and texture to away from the image. Thats why I held the folder to the BG
