The placement of the heron, and the lone tree, both silhouetted make this. I don’t like the horizon through the middle of the picture. Trimming a bit off top would improve it for me.

Thank you for the lovely comments. I understand your reservations about centering the horizon but it was a deliberate attempt to see if breaking the rules would work, honestly. Thanks so much for looking and understanding about the various elements of this composition.
