This is such a good photograph…I am quite taken aback by it. Seriously considering buying a print of this. Absolutely captures Skye as I remember it. Wonderful.
Kenart replied
That is very nice of you to say that Rob. You are right Skye is a wonderful place. In fact I think all the islands are.

Another fave – this is an inviting picture. That tiny house snuggled by those huge mountains gives me the impression of coziness and shelter. The surroundings are so immense it would be very hard not to feel small and humble… but in a safe, protected and almost paternal way. Does that make sense?

Quite a famous little croft that, Zoe. It is actually situated miles from anywhere at the base of the Cullins. I think you can actually stay there but I have’nt as yet. but I will

The house, so tiny in its setting, DOES feel so alone. The large rock with the snow or waterfall is so immense, it looks like a tidal wave of stone ready to pounce onto the small house. A powerful image. Almost freaky.
Kenart replied 15 days ago
Thank you so much Adam. That was the impression I was trying to get.

Although I agree with everything Adam said, is it strange that it is the power and the isolation of the place that I find inviting? Maybe Adam’s right and I am a bit weird :D
