Kelly J Parsons is a mixed media and fine art photographer, originally from Florida. For three years now she has called Nashville home and is currently living on the East side. Her work has a very grounded and earthy quality to it as seen in her use of wood, palette and texture. Inspiration comes often from whatever happens to be around: an old antique store, people walking down the street or the tree in her front yard. Recently she has been very inspired by vintage McCalls magazines from the early and late 50’s fascinated by the beauty and fashion women represented in that time.
Another common theme in her work is unity as seen in her World Religions series that embodies her personal belief that more unites than divides us.
Kelly’s work can be seen at several boutiques in the area as well as several local shows in Nashville and Murfreesboro. More examples of Kelly’s work can be seen on her website: kellyjparsons.com.
