Capture: West Desert, Utah, USA
This terrain is an example of “high desert.”. There is zero percent humidity and temperatures well over 100 degrees in the summer. But instead of flat and sandy ground we have rolling hills and mountains covered with sagebrush and cheater grass.
This is one of the more powerful stallions in the Onaqui herd of wild mustangs (Equus ferus) who live in the West Desert area of Utah. I loved this photo because it shows this powerful stallion in a moment of tenderness.
