Karen Stackpole

Leeming, Australia

I have been taking photos since I was a child, having started with a box brownie and slowly worked up to an SLR Canon film camera. I now use a Fuji S5600 digital camera (and when I remember, a tripod!)

I look for the art and beauty in nature and human endeavours, and try to capture them as I believe they were meant to be seen.

My works (other than where obvious and stated in the description) carry little or no adjustment in any editing program. I like to THINK about what I want the image to look like, plan the details and take it right, first time.

‘I was once told (by a rare and wonderful artist)
Just remember, like an artists paint brush, your camera is only a tool, a means to an end. You are in full control of the end product by the vision you have.’

I would be happy to receive any comments, critisism, suggestions and ideas. I welcome you all to join me in the never ending learning curve, that is photography.
