Watching the news nowadays … you see parents be attacked from their kids, kids found dead or missing, drugs killing our own, its not the same since we were 10yrs old!

Life seemed so much
Brighter then
Walks in the parks
without broken hearts
Dreams in store
not expecting more
Schools were safe
Never feeling out of place
Drugs were around
yet no needles on playgrounds
A walk home was fun
There was no need to run
Parents paid attention
Kids werent so much missing
Oh how Iworry bout my lil girl
Praying she will make it thru this world
You got to admit
Things have changed
More at stake
Alot has been rearranged
Its sad to say we are not ten
and it’s up to us
to protect our children!

Only thing that is changed is the fact that children are forced to face reality at a much younger age now. And of course, our perception of life compared to how we saw it then. Good write.

We even see a difference between our eldest and youngest child. Even in these 14 years things have changed so much!!!
