Makes me think of a newly-married couple or similar situation where they are going through a tunnel of raised arms, or rifles or whatever. Must have been so satisfying to catch it!

Excellent shot, great depth and detail.

Ozcloggie – it was one of the best photographic moments I ever had. I always wanted to be on foot when these briges went up so I could get up close to the action. I walked a few miles from the parking garage to get to the river and when I got there, I was greeted with this. Thank you for your nice comment. I appreciate it.
Pryere, thank you for your comment, too. I always appreciate hearing from you.

wow, amazing shot – I didn’t know they could be raised!!! I loved the corn cob buildings in the background also….
keleka656 replied
Hi Karen. Those buildings on the right are condos. Im not sure what they are called. Gee, you would think since I have lived here all my life I would know. And yes, those streets do raise, and on a regular basis during the summer months when boats go through. At the end of the season, the city has a day called Parade of Boats when everyone needs to get their boats out of the harbors and taken out for winter storage. Dozens upon dozens of boats make their way through the river. Ive never seen that day but hope to sometime. Thank you for your visit. I appreciate hearing from you and receiving your comment.
