Hi, my name is Theresa. I live about 30 miles west of Chicago and have lived here all my life.
Keleka is Theresa in Hawaiian. Since I like to go to the islands so much, I decided to adapt my Hawaiian name into my “photographic name”.
I work full time in commercial property management but in my spare time, I am out there snapping photos of nature. I explore all subjects as possible photo ops but nature is what I photograph most. Once in a while I go outside the box and get crazy with another style of photography.
I have always been into photography but didnt get real serious about it until summer of 2006. I took a vacation to Alaska and thats when the photo bug bit me. I fell in love with the scenery there and even though I didnt take the “best” photos, I took many. I have learned a lot about composition, lighting, and the multitude of other aspects to create better photos today. However, I suspect I will forever be on a learning curve.
My camera is the Nikon D80 and prior to this was the Sony H1. I made quite a jump from one camera to another but hope it is worth it in the long run. I am still exploring the D80 and its potential. I also use the Sony T200 when I dont have the D80 with me. I always have one or the other at all times.
I live, eat, breath this hobby and hope you enjoy my work. It is a pleasure to share my viewpoint of “life” as seen through the lens of my camera.
