The Song of My Sword by

I got really bored for a bit this afternoon, had a fleeting thought, then played around. I’m not really sure how I feel about this one yet. I gave it an almosted painted feel to it, you can’t really see the detail in the previews here that you can full size.

Oh, yeah, forgot, yep that’s me.

(I just wanted to see myself on a card…)

This piece was featured in the Live, Love, Dream group.

THANK YOU!!

    Really cool image, Karri!
And please be careful with that sword!

  • That sword is a decorative, dull edged sword my friend brought back from Japan for me. If I hurt myself with that sword, I’d be the biggest clutz around! (ok, so I am, so I will be) Thanks Miron!

Hey, what you mean you not really sure how you feel about this one? You can’t recognise a great image when you see one? Maybe it’s because you are looking at yourself and so you are more critical.

This is certainly an excellent portrait. And the fact that it is a self-portrait – you were not looking into the viewfinder at the point you released the shutter – makes this an even greater achievement!

  • I’m sure it’s because it’s me, I’m never sure about images with me in them. Thank you very much richard!
