Every year the summer ends at some exact moment, one minute it is summer and the next it is fall…I can always feel it.

This 11×17 image was created in Ps3 form 5 photographs (2 stock), 2 scans (of the milkweed) and a few textures culled from my source files (the sky texture is concrete from the retaining wall at Ogunquit Beach, ME).

The heavy lifting is done mostly through masking and blending modes, with some color and gradient adjustment layers and opacity levels thrown in for good measure. Using the blur filter selectively to create depth is something I am working on right now.
