The Spirit of Tasmania at Sunset
Reversing and turning, the Trans-Bass Strait ferry catches the setting sun’s low angle. Setting out for its night crossing between Melbourne on the mainland, and Launceston on Tasmania, the Spirit each year carries many thousands of excited tourists to our beautiful southern island state.
Did you notice the “Chop” in the lower right corner? I can make one for you if you wish. Keith

Thank you Byron. There are actually two of them and they shuttle across every day. Called #1 & #2, the only way to tell them apart is their name. I can set my clock by the Spirit’s morning arrival – 7am sharp.

A beautiful capture, Keith. The light is stunning. Agnes xx
Keith Richardson replied
Thank you Agnes. Something like this happens each evening, but it is so quick – if you are not ready & waiting, you miss. We see this out our front terrace window, but we are never bored with its repetition. This morning the “Diamond Princess” came in – so huge and glorious – we travelled on its twin early this year, and plan to go again next year. Such fun!
