Dinosaur Approaching!

Dinosaur Approaching!

On a recent Museum visit in Melbourne, I photographed this skeleton set in a realistic pose. My immediate thought was “RedBubble!”
Many hours later, after much Photoshop work removing unsuitable background, and creating a sufficiently haunting RedBubble background, here it is.

Here it is a little larger. A printed copy would not display the artifact ‘shimmer’ where skeleton meets red background, created here by the RedBubble image-engine’s compression of the perfect original.

    Nice job Keith.

Thanks! Would you believe, this was not allowed to be in the reptiles group! Must be an age limit, for old dinosaurs…

shimmer is fine… as everyones eye sight is different.. and most may not pick it up.. as they are captured more by the image.. kids would say… wow mom.. look at that… and not really look into it. Inclusion of the bones on the left edge of frame would be good. LIghting is fine as it highlights and creates contrasting shadows on itself. GOod angle of capture. It can be difficult to get the right angle to get the hind leg.. but this angle is good for the head which would be more important than a claw.

Thank you Lambchop – comments most appreciated.
The ‘shimmer’ close by the skeleton, against the red background is not in the original, but is an artefact that seems to be generated by RedBubble’s compression and size-reduction engine.
Unfortunately the bones on the left were lost outside camera – must go back and find them… I was thrilled with the lighting – a high, large window with natural diffused sunlight streaming down. Adds significantly to the 3D of the skeleton. K.
