Boy Chasing Lizard

BEST VIEWED LARGE

In the Melbourne CBD, corner of Elizabeth and Collins Streets, is a life-sized bronze statue passed daily by thousands of people, few of whom take the time to look closely. It depicts a young girl and a little boy, The girl looks East, standing under a tree. Crawling around the base of the tree, on the Northern side, is the young boy, creeping up on a stumpy-tailed blue tongue lizard.
This photo concentrates on the young boy, back-lit by the winter solstice sun. Keith

Wonderful sculpture, and you can see what it is supposed to be, unlike a lot of modern ones. Beautiful light and great capture

Thank you Hilary. I had to quite a lot of work on this one, to bring out the detail hidden in the dark shadows, but it was all worthwhile. Keith.
