Captured just last week from my backyard. We enjoyed the tiniest amount of rain here in the desert. It was so nice to hear the sound of rain pitter pattering on the roof again. From my backyard, I watched some unusually low-level clouds blow past and couldn’t resist capturing them against the silhouette of my favourite tree – the kurkara (desert oak tree).

How atmospheric! It is as though the Kurkara is reaching up towards the sky, ready to drink the rain. The sky is alovely slate blue against the rich red sands.
