No editing!!! you’re a star – brilliant shot!!!
Keiran Lusk replied
Geez Rach, now I’m blushing! Nah, thank-you for your wonderful encouragement! I really do appreciate it :-)
Vicki Ferrari
Good shot! Wonderful lighting – did you use a flash and/or tripod here? Very clever and very eyecatching!
Keiran Lusk replied
Thank-you Vicki, so very much! I used neither a flash or tripod… Just the camera in one surprisingly steady other hand and a reading light strategically placed above the apple (which was dangling by a piece of thread from a dowel rod, positioned between two cupboards in ‘Alice the Bus’)!! (see Exclusive Behind The Scenes Shot below for a better idea) Phew… Cheers :-)
David Hibberd
Great take, I feel hungry now

Keiran Lusk replied
Ha, thanks mate! Resist the temptation Dave, you can do it.
Vicki Ferrari
That looks very high tech Keiran!! The soft lighting on the apple is perfect! Now I am going to go back and look for the invisible string! Very clever!! (sad news!
I think my camera might have died…... oh no…. it is like my arm has fallen off!! At least the data was saved, after many photos down at the seawall today… the cliffs on main beach are amazing!)
Vicki Ferrari
No, no strings/threads! This reminds me of “Look Ma, no hands!”
Keiran Lusk replied
Ah, the perfect illusion! Just what I was aiming for with this shot! Sorry to hear about your camera. Perhaps it is time to make yourself a pinhole camera replacement?
Vicki Ferrari
Oh very funny!!! (laughing at the replacement that you suggested!) But hey, that might be all the budget will allow – do you think I would be able to turn it into a digital?!!! Or maybe they make turn this one into digital do you think?!! :)))

Vey clever shot my friend, I was going to ask just how many shots it took to capture the apple then I saw your “reveal”..it’s good to know there are others out there that potter around at night in our dwellings trying to make our own little studios…lol..oh and I should say it’s a beautiful shot as well as being ingenious…

Keiran Lusk replied
Thank-you so much Jus! You wouldn’t believe how many hours I have enjoyed thoroughly engrossed in photographing an apple (I could post a different apple shot every day for the next twelve months)! I am glad to hear that you also potter around creating makeshift studios! Thanks mate! Enjoy your night :-)
Lucindawind
fabulous !!! I love the one of you and the apple .. very sweet adorable face you have :)
Keiran Lusk replied
Hehe. Thank-you Lucinda! It was a funny afternoon of photographic experimenting! I have far too many images of apples now, but learnt a few things. Enjoy :-)
