blamo
The selective colouring makes for a terrific image
Keiran Lusk replied
Thank-you blamo, but Mother Nature is responsible for the selective colouring – I just tweaked the contrast and brightness a little in Photoshop. I am pleased that you like this!

mimi yoon
that is fascinating looking cloud formation… and again over your red earth… beautiful shot keiran…
we had some dark sky too today and some rain… just loved it… i have a feeling it will start to cool down now… or at least hoping… : )
Keiran Lusk replied
Oh, it may be cooling down where you live… but it is the beginning of yet another wonderfully hot summer here in the desert. Duststorms, thunderstorms, flies and heat… (but somehow it is still magical, all the same). Perhaps it is time for this bloke to find a new home by the ocean somewhere, I think! Thanks, as always Mimi, for the lovely words and comments.

This is stunning Keiran, I can almost smell the rain, beautiful lush rich burnt reds against the cold soft sky..amazing, one day you’ll have to tell me what “omni spotlight” is as i love the effect…..oh and thanks for re-fueling my no. 1 on my list of things to do which is buy a 2nd hand 4×4 and traverse this wonderful country (especially the top end)
Keiran Lusk replied
Thank-you so much Jus. And thank-you for your wonderfully rich description of the scene captured. Perfect words. Hmmm. Perhaps one day I will share the secret wonders of ‘omni spotlight’ (ahem, it is not so secret if you use Photoshop at all) – I am definitely addicted to this effect! Glad I could refuel your passion for travelling this beautiful country of ours.

Keiran Lusk replied
No worries mate – I am glad that you found the ‘omni-whatsit-thing’. Make sure that you muck around with the different variables (Intensity, Ambience etc) and the target area size/position too. Omni spotlight is my favourite PS tool. Enjoy :-)

Uluru you sure found a lovely place to take photos. Central Australia is full of so many reds oranges and grey blues, and blue blues. A spiritual place that humble and inspires a person
to create and push themselves beyond what they think they are capable of. Lovely work.
Keiran Lusk replied
Uluru is indeed a wonderful place. I have been lucky enough to live here for quite a few years and have always felt humbled by the natural and cultural beauty of this stunning place. Thanks for your words Karen :-)
