Kata Tjuta and the Pink Sunset Brigade
One of my all time favourite sunset views is the view looking west from a small staff caravan park at Yulara (Ayers Rock Resort) towards the silhouette of Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). I have witnessed hundreds of amazingly beautiful sunsets from this place. This was a particularly pink sunset some years ago.

I am feeling nostalgic, I lived here in 1984 on a working holiday, everyday the light on Kata Jhuta and ayers rock changed. I never got tired of being there.
thanks.
Keiran Lusk replied
Hi Roseleen. I am so pleased that this image evokes nostalgia for you. Wow, you lived here in 1984? Well, tourism and development has continued to grow since… but that big rock and sand dune country is still exactly the same. Thanks for leaving your lovely comments and favouriting so many of my images :-)
