The Aftermath of War.

There was a man who stood alone
He never strayed too far from his soul
He really taught the world would see his ways
This man faught for many days
Living in his world of make beliefe
Remembering the way things used to be

But never knowing what way to go
He bargins with his long lost soul
He is sliding down life like a firemans pole
He can barely remember his childhood past
It all happened so so fast
He can just about remember his old days
He is lost in time and out of season
This man has lost his reason

He is spinning in turmoil he cant even smile
The past war has taken over his fragile mind
Peace and love he may never find
The death and hatered is all he can remember
The half dead army from which he was a member
He so wants to forget Vietnam

But he knows he cant
He is stuck in the turmoil of war
He is trying to find his new path
But the Echoes of war in Vietnam
has him still steeped in the aftermath.

The Aftermath of War.
