Offered to be one of Myer's Offical Photographers to shoot the Perth Fashion Festival!

Wow, I’m overwhelmed. I just had a meeting with the Promotions Manager of Myer and she has accepted me to be one of three official photographers for the Perth Fashion Festival! AHHHHH I am ecstatic right now!…

Anyway, how did I land with this position you (and 20 of my friends last night) had asked? I shot Stephanie’s 21st Event back in July 2009 and because she works part-time so naturally a lot of her Myer colleagues attended her Birthday. Melissa the promotions manager must have seen this on her front page feed, and by that time she must have been looking for a 3rd photographer already. She loved the way I approached my photography and decided to give me a call! It was as simple as that. I have Stephanie and Facebook to thank for haha!

Here’s the front cover of her event:

My excuses for Inactivity on Redbubble.

Firstly I’d like to apologise for my months of inactivity on Redbubble. I do endeavour to visit the site as often as I can, but the life of a 4th year Pharmaceutical student has made me an anti-socialite and a tired, poor-ass bastard. Mind the French guys.…

I’ve been working nine-to-five everyday during weekdays for the past few months for no pay. You come home drained from dispensing prescriptions and counselling patients on medications and just dealing with staff. Then on weekends I’m needing to do go to my PAID pharmacy job, which takes up my Sunday morning/afternoon. Finally to top it all off, our course requirements specify us the need to study medications, fill in workbooks and build up case studies. At this point, I am so totally sick of being so tired from a job which, by Uni regul

I turn 21.

Wednesday, 10 June 2009. I turn 21. The big 21. And I’m at home alone studying for my Pharmacy visit test. I’ve been studying on my birthday for the past 4 years, and I have Pharmacy to thank for this. Oh the pain…

Happy birthday to me anyway =)

The First White Label Series 2009 - Nick and May

I just shot my first ever wedding solo last ANZAC Saturday, what an awesome wedding it was! Everything just clicked. Eventhough it was a 5-hr return drive from Perth to Dallelyup (20mins from Bunbury) driving alone in the dark was definitely an adventure!

I manage to pass 11 roadkills on the way, spent 15 cumulative hours of post processing despite my Pharmacotherapy midsemester exam coming up which I am screwed for – but worth every single bit of my time. Nick told me that when he and his mum first opened the folder she burst into tears. Hearing those things makes it all worthwhile.

So without further ado, here are the photos:

Congratulations Nick and May! =)

My sexy new EOS baby has arrived!

Introducing my $1800 new Canon EOS 50D shipped directly from Hong Kong:

All the extra stuff they gave me…

OMG I think I just pooped my pants…

The West Photography Competition + Feature

Just to let all the West Aussies know that there’s a photo competition running at the moment by The West Australian here and the theme is Holidays in WA.

I’d just like to remind entrants to be cautious of The West Australian photo competition. In their last competition “Scenes of Our Spectacular State” I entered Pulse of Perth and it was used as Advertising Material in their newspaper without my consent. I wasn’t happy.

Anyway, on a lighter note, I’d like to thank the Speed group for featuring my work Pulse of Perth hahaha.

Keep shootin’ guys!
Keegan

New member of the Lens family + milestone!

I just purchased a second hand (yes because I am a poor Uni student) Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 lens, and I’m lovin’ it!! I would recommend this lens as a walkabout lens to any budget Canon shooters out there, it’s quality matches that of the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L lens!

I’ve also just reached 25,000 views on my work here on RedBubble, with the most popular shot Salvation at 2,138 views and 72 favouritings. Also wanted to thank all the people who’ve purchased my calendars, cards and t-shirts over the past 6 months, thank you thank you thank you!

Have an awesome Summer guys!

Love,
Keegan
